According to multiple outlets, the comedian and the Outer Banks star officially called it quits on their relationship, 10 months after it was first confirmed they were romantically linked in September 2023.

“Pete and Madelyn’s relationship has been on and off for months and an ever-changing thing,” a source explained to Entertainment Tonight, adding: “Things have fizzled out and they are no longer seeing one another.”

While neither Davidson nor Cline ever publicly confirmed they were a couple in the first place, all the signs were there.

Shortly after it was reported that they “spent the night together at Beverly Hills Hotel,” Cline and Davidson took their romance to Vegas, where they went on a “quick 24-hour trip” together for Pete’s standup show at The Chelsea.

Cline later attended Saturday Night Live to support Davidson when he hosted the season 49 premiere of the sketch comedy show.

Sources say she sat in the audience next to Davidson’s family, and following the taping, the pair were photographed attending the after-party together.

Months before dating Davidson, Cline explained why she opts to keep the details of her love life out of the spotlight while speaking with Cosmopolitan in February 2023.

“I don’t owe anyone an explanation. I am a really private person,” she said. “There’s a part of me that is for me and nobody else.”

Cline revealed that her very public split from her Outer Banks co-star Chase Stokes contributed to her shift in perspective, adding: “I realized the negative side effects of that while going through the breakup, realizing I had let people in and then felt like I couldn’t get anybody out. It just hit me like a freight train.”
