A woman who experienced persistent reflux beginning in November initially thought it was a side effect of weight loss medication.
she survived and continues to share her story on TikTok to raise awareness about stomach cancer and its symptoms
When the reflux continued, she visited A&E, where no issues were found. She then insisted on an endoscopy through her GP, which revealed an ulcer.
After treatment and a biopsy six weeks later, she was diagnosed with a rare form of stomach cancer called poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma with signet ring cells.
She is now sharing her journey on TikTok to raise awareness about stomach cancer and its symptoms, emphasizing the importance of not ignoring persistent reflux and other unusual symptoms.
