Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was forced to the bench after he threw a fourth-quarter interception against the New England Patriots, which didn’t affect his team as they won the game27-17 on Sunday.
Interestingly, the interception was not Mahomes’ fault, according to The Kansas City Star.
During Sunday’s game at the Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts, Mahomes threw a perfect pass to wide receiver Kadarius Toney but the ball slipped through Toney’s hands and was intercepted by the Patriots.
The unfortunate slip led to a short field for the Patriots, who scored a touchdown.
Many pundits suggested Mahomes should focus on his receivers, particularly Toney, and seems like he finally did so after the interception.
