Kate Middleton and Prince William reportedly enjoyed a family Nerf battle with their kids last weekend in Norfolk. Kate reportedly participated alongside Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, grabbing a Nerf gun and playing “stick in the mud.”

As summer begins to wind down, the Windsors are making the most of it by planning as much family time as possible.

Ahead of their high-anticipated summer getaway at Balmoral, Kate Middleton and Prince William joined their kids for some non-royal fun, playing in a full-on Nerf battle alongside other families at the Gone Wild Festival last weekend.

As Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis got in on the “Nerf guns and smoke bombs” alongside their parents, the owner of Norfolk Nerf Parties reportedly said one “adorable” mini royal stood out in particular.

Georgina Barron reportedly gave Prince Louis a sweet shout-out in a Facebook post shared to her personal account and the Norfolk Nerf accounton August 17, per a screenshot shared by the DailyMail, calling the 6-year-old “unforgettable” as he played with his siblings and parents.

“I was called to the production team’s office and told that a very special VIP family had requested to play Nerf wars,” she shared.

“The Prince and Princess of Wales, along with their three children, arrived with friends and family.

They asked if we could provide a high-intensity, non-stop game of Nerf fun, and of course, Norfolk Nerf did what we do best.”

Barron revealed that the Windsor family didn’t ask for any special protocols and that they “just wanted a wholesome family day like any other normal family.”

In addition to playing with his 11-year-old older brother and 9-year-old older sister, Prince Louis also got to compete with his mom Kate, who reportedly also grabbed a Nerf gun.

“The Princess of Wales grabbed a Nerf gun, ran around, and played stuck in the mud with her children,” Barron shared.

“Prince Louis was shouting with glee, ‘Come on, Nerf or nothing. Let’s do this!’ I’m still in awe of what a memorable experience we had.”

Kate, William, and their kids will continue the fun during their annual summer vacation at Balmoral alongside King Charles, Queen Camilla, and other members of the royal family.

In addition to partaking in activities like fishing and biking, a royal expert says it’s likely that Prince William will put aside some time to talk about the future of the royal family.

Royal expert Jennie Bond told OK! (per The Mirror) that the family is prioritizing relaxation, “but it would be slightly odd if the family were all together for once and didn’t mull over what has happened and how they proceed in the future.”

“William is certainly preoccupied with keeping the monarchy relevant, but essentially this is a holiday for the royals, a time to stop worrying about everything and like other families on holiday just breathe in the fresh air, relax and enjoy one another’s company,” Bond added.

Only time will tell whether the Windsors bring their Nerf skills to the family’s sprawling Scottish estate.
