Taylor Swift has reacted to Ryan Gosling performing a re-written version of her hit All Too Well on Saturday Night Live (SNL) and given it two thumbs up.

The Hollywood actor, 43, returned to SNL at the weekend for his third time hosting the iconic TV comedy sketch show.

Despite being there to promote his latest film The Fall Guy, he lamented not being able to let go of his beloved character Ken from the 2023 Barbie movie.

To help him try to come to terms with his heartbreak, he delivered his own rendition of Swift’s 2012 break-up song from her Red album, with some help from his disapproving co-star from The Fall Guy, Emily Blunt.

Blunt, 41, starred in Oppenheimer, which was Barbie’s biggest rival at last year’s box office having been released on the same day, which the internet dubbed “Barbenheimer”.

Taking to social media after, Swift declared the performance as “EVERYTHING” and said she might even perform it herself on her Eras tour.

“All Too Well (Ryan and Emily’s Version)!!! Watch me accidentally catch myself singing this version on tour. This monologue is EVERYTHING,” Swift penned.

She posted the reel of Gosling’s entire SNL monologue on her Instagram story along with the caption.
Swift also quote-retweeted the official SNL Twitter’s video of the monologue with the same caption.

As Gosling began his monologue, he assured the audience there will be no more Ken jokes, because he and Ken, “had to break up”.

“We went too deep, and it’s over, so I’m not gonna talk about it… I actually am gonna talk about it a little bit,’ Gosling continued.

“When you play a character that hard, that long, letting go feels like a break-up, and for processing a break-up there’s really only one thing that will help: the music of the great Taylor Swift,” he added, before sitting down at a piano and later donning Ken’s iconic fur coat.

When Blunt interrupted and tried in various ways to get him to stop, he asked her if she missed the adoration of fans from playing her beloved Kitty Oppenheimer role, and the song ultimately turned into a duet.
