However, could he be the next Tom Brady or Patrick Mahomes? NFL analyst Daniel Jeremiah on The Rich Eisen Show shared the qualities that make Williams the No. 1 pick going into the Draft. What’s more, he also outlined how he is better than Mahomes was when he was being treated way back in 2017.

NFL Analyst Daniel Jeremiah has made a striking comparison that’s turning heads in the football world. He claims that the upcoming USC star not only shares physical attributes with Steelers’ dynamo Russell Wilson but also displays a finesse reminiscent of a young Patrick Mahomes when he was fresh out of college. “Coming out of college, he’s built like Russell and plays more similarly to Patrick, which is the best way I can describe it,” Jeremiah said.

Jeremiah went on to draw parallels between Mahomes’ college scenario and Caleb Williams’ time at USC, suggesting that USC’s recent performance mirrored the challenging environment Mahomes faced. Just like Mahomes, who thrived in spite of a struggling defense at Texas Tech, Williams also did so with USC. Crucially, Jeremiah pointed out that Williams is entering the professional arena with an edge. “The good news is, I think Caleb, in terms of refinement, is a little further along than Patrick was at that point in time,” he remarked.
