Prince William – the Prince of Wales – has reportedly imposed a strict ban on his wife, Kate Middleton, regarding her future public appearances, including the prestigious Wimbledon 2024.

According to a royal insider, the decision to allow or disallow the Princess of Wales to step out in public rests solely with Prince William, who is determined to protect her from unwanted intrusion.

The former royal butler, Paul Burrell, speaking with Closer Magazine, revealed that Prince William’s protective nature stems from a deep concern for his family’s well-being.

“Kate, the mother of Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, knows the world will want to see her,” Burrell said.

However, he asserted that the “fiercely protective” Prince William “will decide” if Kate is “fit enough” to attend Wimbledon.

Burrell, who served Princess Diana for nearly a decade, emphasized Prince William’s control over household decisions.

He described the Prince as someone who fiercely protects his family, noting that there is “no way he’s going to subject Kate to intrusion that she can’t handle.”

The royal insider further explained that Kate Middleton, a known tennis enthusiast, is likely to attend Wimbledon, but only if her husband deems it appropriate.

“William controls this household and William will decide whether she’s well enough to do this because he’s the one that protects the family – fiercely,” Burrell reiterated.

Prince William’s cautious approach is reportedly influenced by his traumatic experience of losing his mother, Princess Diana, at the age of 15.

Burrell concluded that the Prince is particularly wary of subjecting Kate to any situation that might compromise her well-being.
