Reasons Behind Travis Kelce’s Decision to Skip Taylor Swift’s Lyon Eras Tour Shows in France

Taylor Swift returned to France over the weekend to perform her Eras Tour concerts in Lyon on Sunday and Monday. Missing from both was Travis Kelce, Swift’s boyfriend who is in his NFL off-season.
Kelce instead kept a low profile the last two days after a big Saturday in Kansas City, Missouri, and an even bigger Friday in Washington, D.C.
On Saturday, the athlete performed at 2024 Big Slick Celebrity Weekend. His sketch with Jason Sudeikis made headlines, as Sudeikis asked Kelce when he plans to propose to Swift while in character. Kelce smiled, stroked his beard, and dodged the question.
On Friday, Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs met President Joe Biden at the White House to celebrate their Super Bowl win.

Despite his absence, Kelce was on Swift’s mind the first night of her Lyon performances. Fans captured footage of her smiling broadly while singing a football-related lyric in “Fifteen”: “But in your life, you’ll do things greater than / Dating the boy on the football team / But I didn’t know it at 15.”
